Here is a look at the U.S housing inventory starting in March 2019, one year before the start of the pandemic, to August of 2022. Some highlights:
- March 2019 Inventory- 1,468,096
August 2021 Inventory- 1,034,604
August 2022 Inventory- 968,501 (down 34% from start of pandemic)
Inventory Low- February 2022: 645,352
- August 2021 New Listings- 502,275
August 2022 New Listings- 415,187 (down 18%)
- August 2021 % of Inventory that is NEW LISTINGS- 48%
August 2022 % of Inventory that is NEW LISTINGS- 43%
